Be ready to sell. Prepare your home physically – and yourself mentally – to make the move. Have your home clean and ready for showings to boost the appeal and perceived value. Buyers want to see that a home is well-maintained and cared for. Make sure you’re emotionally ready to part with your home and embrace your move because the sale could happen at any time.

Be flexible. The timing of the sale and scheduling of the closing may not be at the most convenient times. Try to remain flexible and understand that your normal schedule may have to adjust. Be ready to spring into action and move on short notice.
